During the Spanish Inquisition, an impoverished storyteller named Cervantes is imprisoned. His fellow inmates threaten to steal his possessions; among them the manuscript to a newly written novel. To save his book and his life, Cervantes reenacts the misadventures of his novel's nobleman, a man convinced that he is a knight in a world from which knights have long vanished. The inmates become caught up is Cervantes’ imagination and become part of this play-within-a-play.

The dangers of a workplace romance are explored to hysterical effect in this romantic comedy from the creators of DAMN YANKEES. Conditions at the Sleep Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful, as sparks fly between new superintendent Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7½ cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labour, but a battle of the sexes as well.

The musical which defined a generation now comes to the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer-prize winning Broadway musical based loosely on Puccini's opera La Bohème. It follows a year in the lives of seven friends living the disappearing Bohemian lifestyle in New York's East Village. AIDS and both its physical and emotional complications pervade the lives of Roger, Mimi, Tom, and Angel; Maureen deals with her chronic infidelity through performance art; her partner, Joanne, wonders if their relationship is worth the trouble; Benjamin has sold out his Bohemian ideals in exchange for a hefty income and is on the outs with his former friends; and Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, feels like an outsider to life in general, always behind the camera recording the events but never playing a part.

“An aspiring writer named Cliff Bradshaw has traveled to Berlin in search of inspiration when he happens upon Sally Bowles at a cabaret called the Kit Kat Klub. She ends up moving in with him in a boarding house run by Fräulein Schneider and her suitor, Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit-shop owner. As the Nazis grow stronger, everything is thrown into disarray. This new production of the classic musical makes its way to the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.“
